Frequently Asked Questions
How often is the SIS (Student Information System ie. SASI) data updated in TestView?
Student data is imported into TestView nightly, so that teachers and administrators have access to current up-to-date data.
How do Test Scores get imported into TestView?
TestView incorporates an easy to use function which allows administrators to import their test score data the same day it is received from the testing center. TestView guides the user through a series of steps to manage and correct any data integrity issues with each import, ensuring that imported test score data is correctly matched to that student in the SIS database. Users are able to report on test score data the same day it is received.
Is TestView for use by teachers or administrators?
TestView was designed by educators for educators. The user interface is extremely intuitive and user-friendly, allowing the tool to be used by administrators and teachers alike.
Can I run a report with multiple filters?
Yes. There is no limit on the number of filters the user may select. This means that teachers can report by student filters such as English proficiency and gender and administrators can report by filters such as school or teacher. This allows teachers to note student trends, while administrators can note teacher or school trends.
How is TestView different from a larger data warehouse tool?
TestView is designed to be a data mart as opposed to a data warehouse. We integrate a smaller set of data in a simple-to-use manner, encouraging greater usage across the district. We give teachers and administrators a tool to utilize testing data in an efficient and non-intimidating environment.
How much does it cost?
There are two components to the pricing for TestView. There is a one-time setup fee and an annual subscription fee. These fees are determined by the size of enrollment per district.
Can I run a report to show multiple years of data for students?
Yes. Upon implementation, TestView contains 2 years of test score and student information data. Since the district has the ability to import test score data at the district office, more than 2 years of test score data may be imported initially. Users are able to select multiple roster years for reports, allowing any trends to be identified.
Will this assist with our AYP reporting?
Yes. The filtering options contain the AYP criteria such as Ethnicity, English Proficiency and Free/Reduced Lunch status.
